Council Approves Business Plan for Caravan Park
On 6th Dec 2011, Kincardine & Mearns Area Committee approved the Business Plan submitted to STP for the transfer of the lease of Stonehaven Caravan Park to Stonehaven Partnership who will lease to The Caravan Club for 60 years and bring a 1.7 million pounf investment to the caravan park. The STP and Aberdeenshire Council will run the caravan park until Oct 2012 when The Caravan Club will take over and start upgrading immediately.

Faster Broadband Coming to Stonehaven
More than 5,600 homes and businesses in Stonehaven will have access to faster broadband by the Spring of next year.
The Aberdeenshire town is among 22 Scottish communities included in the latest roll-out plans for BT’s next generation copper broadband service.
The BT investment makes available broadband speeds of up to 20 megabits per second (Mbps) – more than double the maximum speeds previously available to the majority of UK homes and businesses.

Bus operator Stagecoach has unveiled a £1.4million fleet new luxury coaches which will operate on a new coastal route.
The six buses will carry passengers on the new X7 route between Aberdeen and Dundee, serving Stonehaven, Montrose and Arbroath from September 12.
